PPS HIGH‑TEMPERATURE RESISTANCE MODIFICATION
PPS ranks among the most heat‑resistant engineering plastics. Its heat‑deflection temperature is generally above 260 ℃, with long‑term service temperature ranging from 200 ℃ to 240 ℃, and it can withstand short‑term temperatures over 260 ℃. Its melting point exceeds 280 ℃. Glass‑fiber‑reinforced PPS achieves a heat‑deflection temperature above 260 ℃ and allows long‑term service at 225 ℃.
Main Uses In automotive industry, high‑temperature‑resistant PPS is adopted for high‑temperature components including engine covers, EGR valves, fuel pumps and turbocharger accessories. In electrical‑electronic sectors, it is applied for F‑class insulating films, capacitors, high‑temperature connectors, IGBT modules and other components requiring stable long‑term operation under high‑temperature conditions.
